The scheme was launched in Mahatma Gandhiji Centenary year 1969. Aimed to devolving students personality through community service. In accordance with the policy of the university to make the youth living in free India well acquainted with the social changes and to enable them to make proper utilization of their strength for the all around development of society, the NSS program is run in this college. The university has sanctioned a unit of 100 students and the NSS program is managed by a lecturer of the college as the project officer of NSS.

As per the village adoption scheme a village is adopted the NSS and successful implementation of the programmes such as village cleaning eradication of superstition, tree plantation, vaccination,etc. is done. Every year an NSS camp is arranged during this period. Shramadan lectures and other constructive programmes are arranged at the end of the year certificated are given to the volunteers. Which are definitely useful for them in future.

NSS Achievements

• Volunteers participated in the great rally for the awareness about ‘Voters Awareness’ 25th January 2017.
• Thirty two Volunteers donated blood in the blood donation camp arranged by the NSS of the college.
• Volunteers actively participated in Rallies for literary, AIDS, Awareness etc.
• Volunteers did Shramadan in the college campus on Independence Day M.Gandhi Birth Anniversary, Republic Day, NSS Day.
• Wall paper Display on ‘Maha Avayavdan Awarness’ and pledge taking of Avayavdan arranged by the NSS of the college.
• 75 year of 1942 Quit India Movement so conduct guided tour of the volunteer students to the memorials freedom fighters.
• Volunteers participated as Volunteers in Karagir Mohatsva at Kaneri Matha (Kolhpapur).
• Volunteers participated in special camp at Arawde Village Tal.Tasgaon on Volunteers visit to the Karagir Mahostav 2018 at Kaneri Math, Kolhapur.
• Participation of Volunteers in one Day Camp at Haripur, Tal.Miraj for Shramadan and Clean Village.
• Volunteers participation special camp at Dhamani, Tal.Miraj on 12th January 2018 to 18th January 2018.
• Participation of Volunteers and college staff.

• Educational survey in Slum Area.
• Participated in the Two-Day Workshop for NSS college coordinators on Reduction of Neo-natal Mortality/All Children in Scholl and learning/Migration/WASH on 15th -16th September 2017. Organized by Shivaji University, Kolhapur and UNISEF.
• Participation in One Day Workshop on ‘Health of Handicap Children its Cognitive health ‘ held on 31th January 2018. At Warana nagar , Dist.Kolhapur.
